We’ve all seen people at the race track, or at the park wearing little thin rubbish bags (with holes cut into the top and sides) to stop the rain from ruining their good time. These people look downright silly, but when it starts to rain, they are the smartest people in the world, because they were at least prepared! These garbage bag rain ponchos are also known as PE rain ponchos, which we refer to as emergency rain ponchos. The difference between these and the regular PVC rain ponchos that we sell is that regular PVC rain ponchos may be re-used again and again.
Why is it a good idea to have an emergency rain poncho? Because the world is full of surprises!! Another reason is because weather men are wrong more often than they are correct. We’ve all planned a trip to concerts, festivals, beach, or park and checked the weather report the day before. We go expecting to have not a cloud in the sky and a sun tan lotion day, only to be drenched and cold the entire day.
In my family we have a tradition of arriving at a place for a fun day, and finding it to be closed for the day, or rain on us for most of the day. We’ve done this with restaurants, parks, visits to lakes, museums, and many more. Fortunately our family is somewhat smart, I believe both my mum and dad have umbrellas loaded into their vehicles now. Another alternative for families that experience troubles, like we seem to always have to deal with, is the emergency rain poncho.
An emergency rain poncho is really cheap to buy from just about anywhere, and they can help you during life’s surprises like flat tires, surprise showers, or help you finish off the last few holes of a round of frisbee golf. Keeping one in your glove box, purse, is a great idea that could save you from a miserable day in the rain.
